Ask a Forever question →
Can I choose the wording and tone?

Yes. Tell us whether you prefer a gentle, celebratory, elegant or lighthearted tribute. Dates, religious references, rainbow-bridge wording and angel imagery are optional. Tell us what to include and what to leave out.

What if I only have older photos?

Share the clearest photos you have and identify your favourite. If a photo limits what we can create, we'll discuss it with you before finalizing the cover.

Will you share my memorial publicly?

Forever covers are private by default. We ask for your specific permission before using your memorial in our gallery or social media.

Do I need to order to use the resources?

No. The remembrance ideas, memory worksheet and linked free guides are available without an order or account.

Remembering them, at your own pace

  • Write down one ordinary moment: their greeting at the door, a favourite sleeping spot, or the sound of their paws.
  • Make a small memory box with a photograph, collar or favourite toy, whenever you feel ready.
  • Invite someone to share a story about them. A voice recording or a few handwritten lines can become a keepsake.
  • Mark a meaningful date with a walk, a letter, flowers or a quiet moment. There is no requirement to make it public.

You can remember the joyful moments and still miss them deeply. You don't have to decide what to do with their belongings right away.

Being there for someone

  • Try: “I'm thinking of you and [pet's name]. I'm here if you'd like to talk about them.”
  • Offer something concrete: a meal, a walk together, or help collecting favourite photographs.
  • Let them choose whether to talk. Check in again later, when the first wave of messages has passed.
  • Avoid minimizing the loss or suggesting a replacement pet. Ask before making a memorial gift or sharing their story publicly.

For help talking with children, the free OVC guides above offer a place to start. If you are worried about a surviving pet's eating, behaviour or health, contact your veterinarian.

Give a Forever Gift

Sometimes you don't know what to say.

A CoverPets Forever gift can give a friend, family member or client a personal way to remember the pet they loved.

Ask whether a memorial would feel welcome, then gather photos and stories with their permission. We can help you plan the wording, timing and a suitable cover package. Veterinary teams and businesses can contact us about remembrance gifts for clients.
